I have been recommended by my lbs some road Hope Hoops. Either Pro3 RS-SP or Pro3 RS-Mono but I can find almost no independent reviews except one reasonable review of the monos by Bike Radar (but I think they have the photo wrong - I think it is a photo of the rs-sp 'aero')
Any views or opinions gratefully received please.

Personally I'd go for shimano RS80's, they're lighter and look better.
Also I can see the hub being noisy despite what they say, granted on a MTB this is fine but a road bike is much quieter to ride
Stay well clear of Shimano wheels!!!
Soon as you wear the rims out or have a problem you can't get parts.. been there! 🙁
I would say the pic is wrong.. I have the pro3 mono with open pro mavic's so far been brilliant..
Nice coloured hub options, light, fast, super stiff and make a great sound (useful with deaf londoners)

I have the pro3 RS-SP, They have done two summers now and I have nothing to report, they do the job without a fuss, they are light and feel plenty stiff enough compared to the Fulcrum racing 7s that they replaced, and finally the freehub is typically Hope clickety click which you either love or hate, I'm in the first camp 8)

I have the rs mono's on Mavic Open Pro's. Good all rounders. Unfortunately the flange on the rear hub of mine cracked after a couple of thousand miles. Hope gave me a new hub and rebuilt the wheel for free though - result.
+1 Gordymac. I've had pro3 on dt rims for 2.5 years summer and winter on my road bike. Seem plenty light and haven't missed a beat with very minimal maintenance. Very pleased with them.
I've got one on the back (Open Pro on Pro III) but it's only done a few hundred miles. Not much to report other than that it has The Sound, it's a decent weight for the money, and it's a `traditional' design so not super showy but perhaps more servicable in the long run.
Pretty happy with mine.

Got some Pro3 RS-Mono on my cross bike. Good on road. Noisy Hope freewheel. Legendary Hope service Done 3 peaks cyclocross on them twice. Only had to have them trued. Good buy IMO
