Shouldn't really be asking as I've only had the bike a week! 🙄 Bought an Onza Jackpot for a bargain tastic £699! I'd already budgeted for some better tyres to replace Nevegal (anyone want a 20mile ride pair for £20?) (at that price some elbow room) So Black's of all places (who knew?) did me a Minion and a High Roller for £57. Just the wheels now? 🤔Nowt wrong with them only non tubeless so idly wondering about upgrading ?
Probably save a bit of weight and won't have the potential faff of tubes (however did we manage?) LBS can do a pair of Hoops set up tubeless just under £400, anything cheaper about?
Oh BTW 650B non boost.

Hope Hoops may be reliable but they are never that light compared to the competition. How about some Hunt wheels?
LBS weren't that impressed with Hunt wheels they've worked on? Maybe they want to flog me some Hope? 🙄
I replaced the Hope enduro’s that came on my bike with a set of hunts. The hunts have been brilliant for the last year, solid, built very well and good hub engagement.
As above, Hope are certainly not light, your lbs is trying to sell them to you.
I've no experience of Hunt, so default as ever to DT Swiss.
Edited, meant to say DT, said Stans!
Hunts ok, but my choice would be DT Swiss rims and spokes on either Hope Pro 4’s or dt 350’s for a mid priced wheel.
Reading up on Hunt all sounds good, ready to go taped and valves for £350, must resist! 🙄
So Stans Flow wheels under £300 MK3 or F1 any experience of these?
I have a new set, never even fitted, of 650B DT Swiss EX511 rims on DT Swiss 350 non boost hubs. Hand built by 18 Bikes set up tubeless with Maxxis Minions that are surplus to requirements.
PM me if you want more info.
Have Hope Hoops ever really been worth having since they stopped using Stans rims (quite a few years ago now)?
IMO yes, they just work. As may plenty of others too of course, but nothing at all wrong with Hopes

Whilst there's nothing wrong with upgrading because you want something new, just tape the wheels you have if tubeless is the issue. Unless they've actually got holes in them they'll work fine.
Having gone through this proccess I also went fot DT Swiss. Cheaper and lighter.

Apart from them being heavy in comparison to other options that are cheaper.
If it were my money I'd be looking at actionsports.de and buying DT Swiss 350 hubs laced to XM481 rims with DT Competition spokes for €459 (just under £400).
Cotic have some old stock Hope hoops on sale. details on their website.
