i have a 'Hope' Headset on my 2009 bike... how often do the bearings need changing approx not changed them from being new .... i have 2 sets of bearings on the headset.... can you buy a pair of bearings... ? 😉
Replace them when you need to ? If you do a search there is some FSA ones (i think) that are the same size and a third of the price
replace them when they go crunchy, not before
bearings cost £15 each, or half that for non-stainless ones, see CRC etc
Actually its cane creek bearings that fit, these fit fine, i have used them no problem

huh ? cane creek fit hope...really ?.... they are dam cheap tho.... 😉
after taking mine off today suprised that n mud gets in the headsets... i guess nowts bombproof then...
Yup, they fit fine, exactly the same size.,
which wud be better tho 'hope' or 'cane creek' ? im guessing hope, after all my Hope bearings have lasted almost three years 😉
Bearings is Bearings mainly. They are 3rd party supplied so get the number and order some (number on hope site)
Bike shop should carry them.
Again expect about £15 every 4/5 years 🙂
I'd go for Hope if I were you 🙂
CC aren't cheap when you realise you need 3:1 for hope bearings.
If you bought a hope to start with then why down spec.
CC seals are nowhere as good as Hopes.
Are there not 2 types of CC bearings that will fit, the cheaper steel ones from the S3, and the stainless ones from the S8. I wouldn't expect the cheaper ones too last that well.
