Advantages / disadvantages between the steel and aluminium ones please ?
I've been reading about cassettes getting jammed, even XT ones, so are the steel ones easier to live with long term ie easier to replace cassettes ?

Yes, the alu ones have also been known to crack. Having said that, I'm still running 4 alu ones.
I'd love a ti upgrade like the old bulb hubs.

Yes. No marking up but slightly heavier. Offset that against the weight of a heavier cassette
