With Pro 5 hubs
Any experience?
For some reason on the Hope website when you click on ebike wheels it goes to Fortus 30 rather than 35
I know everyone will say DT but looking at alternatives
Will be Mullet
Fortus 30 is a stronger heavier rim than the 35 which is probably why it defaults to that option. Fortus 30 on Pro 4’s on all 3 of my bikes, all have taken a hell of a beating, only weak point are the springs in the freehub which are easily replaceable. No experience on Pro 5’s on the rear. I have a Pro 5 front on the eeb but a front hub is only a shell and 2 bearings so you can’t really mess that up!
I like them... we've run a few on my bikes and the lads bikes...
Pro4/5 are my go-to favourite wheel/hub and the Fortus have worked well for us.
we've generally gone Fortus30 and have broken 1 rim but that was a massive rock strike or impact

I'd swerve the 35mm anyway. I really disliked mine for the poor ride quality and they were really fragile. They were hammered in no time.
There are fortus 30 single cavity and Fortus 30s. The original fortus 30s were a triple box section nigh-on DH rim, weighty but strong. The Fortus 30 SC is a much lighter version more akin to a normal trail rim. For an eeb the originals probably make sense.
Yea the Fortus 30 are crazy heavy, like 720g in 29er (rim only!)
I don't know any other mtb rims anywhere near that weight
Not sure about the single cavity though
I have fortus 30 and find them nice but I think for the money Nukeproof Horizon wheels are a good alternative.
