I was lucky enough to get one of the bargain Hope rear wheels from CRC.
The Fortus 26 rim is clearly quite heavy (580g apparently, vs. 530g for my favourite EX471).
Does anyone have experience of how tough they are? Mulling over whether to swap the rim now or just keep it on, if it's super tough.
No experience with the 26 so this probably isn't particularly helpful but my 30's have taken an absolute beating and are still completely fine.
In my experience the fortus rims are on the soft side when it comes to holding of dents so id happily run it but with an insert
The 30 unlike above for me proved too soft and ive never been one for running too low a pressure .
Jo barnes did run the fortus 26 for a while in favour of the 30 saying it was as strong as the 30
Had one on the back of my full suss for 18 months or so, Its been dinged but otherwise fine, I run an insert on it now just to make sure.
