Returned a 2 year old battery on Monday afternoon after it wouldn't charge,received a brand new one in the post free of charge. No arguing, no fuss.
Excellent service in my opinion, something to be said for spending a bit more on parts.
I use Hope stuff whenever I can, partially for this reason, except......all I've needed to send back to them in 20 years are 2 axles.

I had a HOPE Enduro Headset "10 Years ahead of its time" in a Santa Cruz Bullit frame, when i enquired about replacement bearings over a year ago they sent me a brand new headset,
Their customer service is right up there with the best of them,
I was Going to say Buy British then i thought about Fugly ORANGE Bikes,

I broke my hub,tried to fix it myself.i ordered the wrong parts and failed in my DIY attempts to repair it as it was out of warranty.Called up Hope,bit embarrassing and sent back everything.They called me said they'd take back the wrong bits offset it against the cost.Wheel came back BRAND NEW looking,they charged me chuff all.Blooming brilliant.Hope user for life.And they resisted the urge to call me a tw*t which they were quite within their rights to do so.
