Don't suppose anyone has a link to a walkthrough on how to replace an axle in the rear Pro 2 Evo?

Cheers

Er... if it's an Evo then I'm pretty sure that to swap axle types it's just the end caps that change?

Edit - unless you have the 10mm bolt in axle?

thats an exploded diagram. axle swopping is relatively straightforward. why do you need to swop the axle?

Swapping from 10mm bolt in, to 10mm bolt through.

remove the disc and cassette
remove both axle end caps and seals.
remove the free hub body and spacer. take care not to lose the pawls and springs. if these come loose make sure you collect them all up
lay them out on a flat surface in order of removal for easy refitting
place the hub disc side down with the disc mounts resting on a couple of thick pieces of wood/vice jaws.
with a nylon mallet, drift out the axle from the drive side. this will also push out the disc side bearing.
remove the bearing from the axle (or not if you're fitting a new bearing)
turn the wheel/hub over.
you now need something to support the drive side bearing as you push the new axle in. i have a spacer for this. you basically should be supporting the hub on the drive side bearing, being ver careful not to damage the seal.
once you have something that does this, drift in your new axle then refit the disc side bearing, if you don't have a bearing press you can carefully do this with a socket and a hammer. the socket must be pushing on the outer race of the bearing, not the seal or inner.
clean and lightly grease the ratchet ring.
refit the free hub body. to do this you need to install all the pawls and springs into the free hub body and compress them so that the will pass through the seal.
MAKE SURE THE SPACER GOES ONTO THE AXLE BEFORE YOU PUT THE FREEHUB BODY ON.
refit the end cap seals and end caps and check for free rotation and that the ratchet engages correctly.
replace cassette and disc.

Wood, hammer, beer - what can possibly go wrong? 😉

Almost the perfect combination. Add in some kind of electric saw and you're safe as houses! 😀
