Seeing that Canfield cassette on the news pages, I was wondering - anyone know what happened to the Hope freehub cassette?

Yep, like the Hope bar (which I've paid for in July expecting a September delivery) it's been delayed too Q1-2 2014.
I think the cassette's been delayed a bit longer than that, sadly...
Delaying releasing a cassette is a bit expensive, as it must of started out life as a 9 speed, so then would have needed to be remachined to 10, and now to either 11 or maybe a wider range 10 speed.
IIRC they'd always planned to do a 9-36 10 speed one.

10-40 may be better, if what SRAM say about very small sprockets causing excessive chain wear.
I guess it's better they get it right then rush it out. I'd be a bit pissed if I was waiting for one I'd payed for though.
