Hi guys.

I have a Foxy XR at the moment with 2017 Fox 36 forks up front, currently using XT brakes & 180mm rotor.

There is no brake mount at present, the caliper is bolted directly on to the forks, the rear has an adapter.

if I change to Hope brakes will I need one for the front or will that go on without an adapter (180mm Hope rotor again).

Should go on without an adaptor again.

Potdog might have tried it with a 36, I've not but general rule of thumb is If you run e4 or v4 you may find the shape won't work with the post mounts. Depends on the fork - I don't know the answer on 36s. Id suspect v4s definitely a problem, e4 might work. Bumping it up to 200mm with a hope mount would solve the issue if there is one.

Sorry to go slightly off topic OP, but @benpinnick can you confirm if the e4 caliper is fine with the latest RS Revs with a 180mm rotor or does the caliper foul the lowers?

@benpinnick, that would be much appreciated if you could! In my search for an answer I did a 36 with an E4 caliper fitted with a 180mm rotor so looks like it would work. A V4 would foul I would have thought
