Just bought some hope tech 3 brakes and I want to bolt my dropper remote directly to the clamp , what fitting do I need , shimano I spec etc
Very dependent on spec.
Call Hope.
But ate you sure? brake levers should be run slightly loose to avoid breakage.
You can’t do that with a dropper lever direct mounted.
Mmm never thought about that I've always had mine tight , u learn something new every day, can't see your finger moving a brake lever tho just by pushing it . Lever is one up components
I spec A & B are a direct fit. Any others require an adaptor.
What us I spec 2 then
You can’t do that with a dropper lever direct mounted.
Why ever not? I've my wolftooth lever on my tech 3 brakes and they are still set to rotate in a crash.
OP what dropper lever do you have? An i-spec a or b should bolt straight onto your tech lever. My wolftooth one came with all the needed bits.

I’ve always torqued them according to the recommendations and that’s good enough for adding gear levers. Is the dropper lever more onerous than the gear lever? Doesn’t seem so with the BrandX / Bird ones.
Slightly loose is a terrible description, I nip up tech3 levers with the short end of the allen key, they'll move with a thump but shouldn't move by pushing down with a thumb on the pivot bolt when holding the grips from infront of the bars with the front wheel between your knees, hope that makes sense.
In case it helps the OP - the one up dropper post remote V2 fits the Hope Tech 3 SRAM shifter mount.
If you have the V1 it doesn't without modification so best to use the handlebar clamp.
