I've just bought a Shimano XT M8000 crank. My bike currently has a Hope BB30 bottom bracket but the Shimano axle is only 24mm, so I'm guessing it's not going to fit. Is there some kind of shim/sleeve I can use to fill the 6mm gap, or am I looking at a complete replacement of the BB?
New bottom bracket
EDIT: Done some more checking and I have a PF30 BB, rather than BB30. The question remains though, can I shim the axle or fit a 6mm narrower central tube or do I need to replace the entire BB?
I have a lightly used PF30 Hope bottom bracket for Shimano 24mm axles.
It's the pf46-73-24.
