im considering doing some hookless/tubeless rims for a new application and I'm just considering the implications.
A few questions:-
Tyre bead - I'm not aware of anyone making tyres exclusively for hookless rims yet so are there any issues with using clincher tyres on them - the main issue is the lack of support from the lower bead. Is it actually a issue?
Pressures - this application generally uses higher pressures than those seen by MTBs (70-90psi range) - do you get any of the rolling resistance /grip benefits at such high pressures? I guess that's only relevant if anyone's run them on a road or cx or tourer.
Any experiences shared will be much appreciated.
Cheers
Gary
