In and now being nagged for waking my beloved up, doh!!!
In (yay!)
Back to bed (yay!)
In! Time for work....
In for another year and now back to bed as its a bit too windy for the usual Saturday morning road ride.
In. Crikey that was easy this year 😀
703 places gone already ! 😯
Three of us in, and just had toast, yum.
750 places gone now, looks like it's slowing down a bit.
Hmmm. Not sure whether to miss a round of Mud Sweat and Gears for this.
10 minutes ago and in at 833. Overslept.
Surprised it is so slow. But pleased. A few years ago the opening time was something like 10 am on a Tuesday and I entered at 10:28 and got number 1028!
I think the Builth Wells event is same day - probably do that instead
Slept through my alarm and just entered.
Number 868.
930
In no 957
Be interesting to see how this compares to the madorc, one chap reckoned the madorc climbs were worse...
Nearly forgot - in at 1049.
Totally forgot
In at 1082 , 1028am.
Am now wondering what I have done... got a place at 6am, it seemed like a good idea at the time, now I am remembering that I almost always break myself when doing events!
Next thing to worry about, CX or XC bike? Singlespeed or gears? Decisions... decisions...

Depends on the weather I would say. If fine, then a CX will get you through the road sections with less effort, but be prepared to be overtaken on the few really rough off road sections. If it has rained hard then some of the off road sections need a bike with good tyre clearance in my experience. Seen it done on everything from CX bikes to orange Alpine 160's with any combination of rigid/hardtail/FS in between.
In at 1:30 and 1209 so still space folks!
logged in at work about 06:45, place 599. 1st time doing this.

RE the bike choice... see my similar dilemma from last year..
DrP
After realising MSG is buy eight get 2 races free, I've entered - no 912.
Re the bike choice, it's short travel 29er aka anthem for me.
In at number 305, you lot must of all had a lie in!! Fingers crossed for a dry April, the bridleways used are my local ones and currently any trails not on the top of the hill seem to be hidden under 6 inches of claggy clay.

MADORC climbs were only worse because some came much later in the ride.
HONC 2014 had a lot of steep climbs, but on the 50k course the last third of the ride was pretty straightforward.
I thought HONC was a better course for those who were tired of leg and lung.
Would do both again.
