I have a Rockshox Tora RL fork knocking around that is currently set to 130mm. From what I understand it should be possible to internally reduce the travel down to 100mm.

However I don't have any spacers and the bike shops near by don't seem to have any laying around either, which has left me wondering if it is possible to make my own...

Failing this, all I've been able to find online is the all-travel spacer kit for all 2010 forks
(around half way down the page here http://www.tftunedshox.com/catalogue/department.aspx?node_id=afcae9f1-a982-4db5-93ee-9bb900af3fa1&showall=true)
I have no idea on the age of the forks though so does anyone know of anyway to find the age? Or would this spacers kit fit other years of forks?

I wouldn't bother making my own, it'd be a lot of hassle.

I don't think things changed in 2010, the Tora forks are a 32 mm stanchion, so those spacers should fit.

Last time I needed some I bought a dust seal and foam ring kit from Loco tuning and asked if I could add a few to the order.

As you have to take the lowers of to shorten the travel it made sense to replace the dust seals at the same time.

Aren't they just a round bit of plastic with a hole in the middle? 5 mins on the lathe at most.

i think my bomber travel reduction spacer is an old elastomer. or maybe an old spring off of somewhere (i think my old T2 VW) i found int eh garage. one of those. actually i think the latter as i think i used the elastomer on a skateboard bushing experiment....

any old crap that will sit above the top out spring without ruining the inside of your fork will be fine.
