a fat bike has just gone on the missus' want it list Stu, i know pink on bikes divides opinions but i personally think it looks great...
It can look good but it can also look shite.
The alternative to the 2" of top side stem stackers you've fitted to both bikes, would be to simply tell her you don't want kids...

I'm planning to build my 5ft 2 Mrs a small Pompino, the more I think about it though a 14" inbred like the op's makes a lot of sense. Ooh err.
i've cut some of the steerer down but i always like to leave a long steerer in case i want to swap the forks out or sell them, i'd rather have a few spacers and a fork i can use on another frame but i get that it might look ugly to some but i personally like the look...
