Hi

I have a Trek hybrid and am wondering whether it's suited to long distance challenges (100 miles+). I'm open to buying a road bike but would like to try one out before taking the plunge. I've had a look for somewhere to hire one in Brighton but nothing's showing up.

I'd really appreciate any guidance on where I could hire/borrow a bike for the day to help with the decision making process. Any ideas?

Thanks for your help.

Tor

For 100+ miles you might want somthing you've spent a bit of time on rather than just pickign somethign up 'on the day'.

Try g-whizz cycles - he always has loads of cheapish 2nd hand bikes.

failing that wiggle etc do 30 day money back deals so you coudl get something try it and hand it back if it wasn't for you.

Thanks wwaswas. Ideally I want to spend a day on a road bike to see if it's something I want to invest in, in which case I would buy one new rather than secondhand.

The money back option is a good idea but I wonder if there's another way to get some saddle time without actually having to buy a bike?

Evans will let you try out a bike if you leave credit card info to cover loss/ damage.
