Ok so this is the thing: I currenty only have a ht so when it comes to the annual visit to Afan or Cwmcarn, I’d prefer the luxury of an xc full suss trail bike rather than clattering around on my bone-shaker. But there doesn’t seem to be anywhere I could hire a bike and take it out for a weekend. The only place I know of is BPW but then I have to use their bikes only in their trail centre.
I’m guessing for insurance reasons or general paranoia around bike theft, this isn’t something bike rental companies would do, but is there someone who does it in the South Wales area?

Not sure about Afan but I’d be surprised if there wasn’t anything nearby.
Whenever I look at the prices for hire it’s always quite expensive though (but much cheaper then buying a bike if you only need it for 2 days a year).
