Does such a thing exist? Does anyone have any recommendations?

I have seen a couple of images online which suggests that Evoc may produce one but I can't find it for sale anywhere and it may even be integral to the pack.

The zips on my Camelbak Repack are going to be chewed up by grit sooner or later. The joys of riding in the British summer time...

It's a good call. Still not got a hip pack (modern bumbag) yet, but a waterproof cover would help away me.

Polaris and a couple of others do fully waterproof ones.

Ah, yes, the Camelbak "Fro" cap...

Possibly not a bad shout if I can find one that doesn't look like it belongs at the hairdresser's.

I asked EVOC a long while back and they were non-committal so I had my own made;-

Try again

While getting the shape is fairly easy making a neat way to get it on and off is of course the trick!

They make good covers for their backpacks and I think it's a glaring omission of an otherwise excellent product.

I also shared a picture with Evoc who expressed some interest and stated "...now we should make one" but so far only the hip pack 'Capture' has one.

Update - it seems something maybe available from Evoc, maybe they took my hint, but no sign of it in the UK 🙁

Pricey from here!

Is that website legit? It seems a bit odd that they don't show a picture of the actual cover and they seem to be the only place on the internet to even acknowledge their existence.

Good job on the "Ewoc" cover by the way. You may have a found a gap in the market...

Just put your jacket on over the top of it?

I agree. My jacket may not stop the base getting sprayed with mud, but its keeping the majority of the downpour off it, and keeping the zips clean.

The jacket option - good idea for when it's actually raining.

Not so good for the majority of the time when I choose to ride when it's not raining but the ground is still soaking.

I may have to admit defeat on this and give up. That or get the sewing machine out.

is one actually needed, my repack must be 3 years old and has been used all year round several times a week in all sorts of conditions and never had any issues. its seems to be constantly covered in loads of mud at the moment and zips still work fine.

Dark Peak fine grit / sand ridden slop is not kind to zips (or drivetrains, brake pads, eyeballs etc.)

The pack is right is the firing line. I could buy a mud guard, but, no.

ok then, most of my riding is in the lakes which i know isn't as harsh on stuff as some places.

I think I'll have a go at making one of these for mine. I have some material that should be spot on. I don't have an evoc bag but I do have an Alpine Threadworks one - http://www.alpinethreadworks.com/products/cox-fanny.html

The Ortlieb pack is waterproof and has a roll-over top.

This is a fair point.
