Strath Rusdale is north of Allness on the Cromarty Firth. The map shows a landrover track going through to Glen Calvie near The Craigs in Strath Carron. On the map it looks good. I'm going on an off road tour with a couple of non regular mtbers who will be on old xc hard tails and we probably don't want too much drama, so the question is...is it ok?

Yep it's fine. Half decent Tarmac to bits that are broken up, potholes etc but perfectly navigable on even a Cx bike.

Enjoy.

thanks for posting on both my queries, Gordymac. I had put it into Google and nothing came out, but I might have just put in Strath Rusdale and Duag Bridge....but I tried again with more detail and got quite a bit, even piccies of parts of both routes... Accounts for the Duag Bridge track veered from do-able to long walk.....I think we will try both. Cheers
