Having decided I'm too old and broken to make much use of my 22" BMX, I've passed that on to my boy and resigned myself to my increasing decrepitude, and bought a DJ bike. Well, put one together. I want some bars about 60mm rise, anything over about 740 wide as will likely cut down to this width. Spank Spoon would be ideal but can't find stock anywhere. Anyone got recommendations or anything for sale?

Deity do a handlebar called the high side. 60 and 80mm rises I think.

Spank do a wider range of Skyscraper bars upto 80mm high. Gave them a whirl a few months back as CRC were doing them for £28 and would be happy to pay the £90 retail they are so good.

There's less choice for 31.8 bars but NS, DMR, and Gusset all do riser bars.

You may find more choice and cheaper price if you go with a 22.2 BMX stem instead.

Cheers all. Seen the Deitys, can't find 50mm in stock, or the Spanks. Will check the others

I'm curious about the 22" BMX. What do you have and why is it so hard to ride?

75mm spank vibrocore bars for £80 and in stock

I can echo what @mundiesmiester has shared above, if you can wait and find spank vibrocore skyscrapers in a sale great

However, having enjoyed their supreme comfort, I would happily pay full price for their performance if I needed to replace them now

Velostore are in France and I don't want to spend that much on a bar for a DJ bike to be honest

@sharkattack - it isn't hard to ride, it's great in the skatepark but on rougher jump trails and pump tracks I just find it too harsh. Also want more stability.

It's a WTP Audio with higher bars, lovely thing but this way I still get to ride it

@davosaurusrex am i right in thinking you are around Worthing? I’m pretty sure I have some DMR O-Dub bars in 31.8, 50mm rise you can borrow if you want to see how you get on with that size?

I have the Spank bar. Very pleased with it. Back feels good and it rides well moto.

No issues with climbing. All good.

In stock here: https://www.leisurelakesbikes.com/dpt/pgr/deity-highside-760mm-aluminium-handlebar-318mm-bore-50mm-rise-black__321935

Bit basic for the price but it was the rise and sweep I wanted. No cut markings, and grip area diameter on the small side - lock on grips slid on very easily compared to other bars, but fine once tightened.

Funn do 55mm risers in 31.8 I think.

And I have vague idea of Answer (remember them?) doing 60mm+ bars again..
