I've done a fair bit of searching but can't seem to find what I'm after. Which is a setup like the Amazon Blink or perhaps the Arlo but with a camera that's very difficult to spot

OK..... I put loads of detail on this post but then deleted it as I'm sure a few crims use sites ike this for research and I don't want to put too much detail on my setup. But the key thing is that I need it to be tricky for anyone to see so that they can't just rip it off the wall.

Any suggestions?

Inside or outside? There must be loads of ways to creatively conceal a camera.
Gnomecam?

What's your budget?

You can have anything you want. Coke can, coat hanger, car key fob, box of tissues, a tie etc. You dream it, it can be made.

The problem will be running power to it discreetly and WiFi or ethernet cable etc.

The cheapest way is to use an old mobile phone, water proof case, power cable and silicone and download a surveillance app from the play store.

Find a bit of wooden structure in the right place, like the facia board below the gutter of the shed, drill a 25mm hole in it and mount the camera behind it?

I'm sure they don't. Whats your concern OP ? Are you worried someone might steal your toys!! If so lock them up and make sure their insured, make it your insurers problem not yours. If you have personal safety issues get professionals in. Cameras are 90% deterrent, hiding them is largely pointless in all but a few scenarios.

Networkwebcams co uk do a range, but what youre after doesnt come cheap.
If the functionality of the blink/arlo etc is what youre after then its a NVR camera, they process the image in camera, have networking etc so they tend to be bigger as its not just a sensor but all the other gubbins inside, so more obvious. What you need is a camera with that stuff seperate, those guys do the axis range which look good. You put the base unit out of sight and the camera hidden close to it. Obviously needs to work for your location in mind. Try googling hidden ip or nvr camera, otherwise youve got to hide in plain sight and just disguise something.

If you can live without the functionality, plenty of small hidden spycams with sd cards, look at mini dashcams as theyre all pretty discrete and you just need to get a micro usb to it. Motion sense and record. Ive been playing with one in the garage, youd never see it but the motion sense mode only works off power, as soon as its plugged in i.e. to a powerbank for portability it thinks your driving and just records full stop and then fills the card too fast. Im sure the right camera would do the job.

For me the whole point of cctv is the illuminas sticker in the window telling everyone you have it. Then they look at your house and see the cameras and realise they can't get anywhere near the house without getting filmed. As they approach your security lights turn on.

They then look across the street at your neighbours house without security lights and cameras and think that's an easier option and leave your house alone.

What about a vandal proof cam best of both worlds, it’s secure (as long as it’s mounted correctly) and a visual deterrent and there are Plenty available.

Was going to suggest it's probably better to search for Nanny Cam's on Mumsnet
