There must be enough of us on here to gather ourselves for a ride or two, surely?

As much as I'd love to do the MNPR rides they are the wrong day for me (work stuff that happens yadd yadda dull dull).

grind up the A6033, down Pecketts well, job done, in the pub?

shall we have a Chinese parliament to thrash out the details?

Didn't see this when posted....
Yes, I'd be interested in this. I have successfully made a grand total of one MNPR! Monday nights are a bit of a PITA for me also. Keep me posted!

I'm up for it. Not ridden my bike much recently as I've been away/busy quite a lot. Just been out tonight though for a very quick blast and really enjoyed it.

Monday nights don't often work for me and TBH I'd rather ride in a small group, especially some of the cheeky bits around Hebden.

My weekends are pretty packed for a while now though - anyone else free any daytimes during the week?

The mnpr lot are a good bunch but Ive got 4hours to kill before they even start a ride! I'd be interested as it can tie in with an even visit to family in Outlane.

I could pop over for a daytime guest appearance, if outsiders are permitted?

I'll try and get out (but I've been saying that to the Brighouse lot for about 2 years!).

My evenings are pretty much free (apart from Monday) so I'm easy on that, I've been here a grand total of 6 months, so apart from the obvious trails I no nothing...

Sounds promising. 😆

There's a few of us go out on a Tuesday night from Luddendenfoot most weeks. Meet at 7.30 on the bridge over the canal, out for a couple of hours and back to the Weavers after, you're welcome to come along. Most rides head in the direction of HB, Stoodley Pike, Hardcastle Crags, Midgley Moor area, occasionally heading Sowerby way instead.

I'm always up for regular evening/weekend rides in 'the valley' (as I've now discovered that's what the six-toed locals call it 😀 ). It'll save me from going on road rides on my own. Not sure about tomorrow night, think I might be busy but any other is fine. Maybe a regular Wednesday/Thursday nighter?

Thursday nights are usually doable for me. Quite a few Tuesdays too but not tomorrow.

If anyone fancies a weekend- let me know. I'm not really into the around the reservoir/over the tops-type. More treating the climbing/trundle bits as a means to get to the next nice descent asap.

I'm in a similar boat to nickc, been here for about 10months now. I've learned a fair few trails, but it's always nice to meet new people and explore more! Dienamic, that tuesday ride could work for me, just not this week. I'll drop you a message next week if I can make it. Cheers

No probs, we're out pretty much every week, rain or shine (or snow, hail, lightening). It's 4-5 of us at the mo on a good week, don't know how well you know the area, but if you're driving down there's a little car park next to the canal opposite the Brandy Wine.

They don't tend to come up our end of the valley much, but I presume you're all aware of the CMBC ride from The Watermill on a wednesday night? Not gone out with them yet, they all look a bit too much like they know what they're doing...

I've ridden with the cmbc lot a few times. Good mixed ability group but I dont think cheeky tech is really their thing (it is mine more than big distances mostly) - bashing out lots of miles with them is great though.

I wouldn't mind joining in at some point. Work shifts so can't do regular but live in lud foot so anywhere this area is good for me.

What about sorting some form of Facebook / other group based thing?

Some sort of email list would probably be the best idea. Facebook has quite a few refuseniks. Another group I ride with uses Yahoo Groups which is ok but a bit clunky. Any other ones that are better? I can set a yahoo one up if no one else has any better ideas.

Not sure who's sorting a list out but I'd like my name down if that's OK, email in profile. Work in Sowerby Bridge and still learning the local trails.

No probs Nick, we're heading over Norland this week so it won't be as HB based as it usually is anyway. If you're back in time we'll see you in foot, if not we'll see you next week.

If anyone sorts a list for Thursday I'd like to be on it too please

I've just quickly knocked up a facebook group for our Tuesday night rides. Feel free to join / come along - the more the merrier.

Meet on a Monday, bring thick skin for piss-taking.

I've been in Tod 4 months and made a whole 2 MNPRs, but they are a bit late, and so it's quite late by the time your home.

Definitely keep me in the loop for this 🙂

( Joined the FB group as well )

Paul.

Right, yahoo group set up here:

hebdenriders-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/HebdenRiders/info

Not sure if it needs a yahoo ID or not. Don't think so. I'll get round to adding the people who have put their hands up in due course. I've restricted it to avoid spammers but have no intention of being the only one responsible for adding/approving people. Once I've figured it out I'll open it up so others can do this too.

And it's easily deleted if no one uses it 😉

Email sent to the yahoo group.... i think...

This is looking promising! The general consensus of Tuesdays or Thursdays work for me. Currently only a possible for this Thursday - but will need to confirm on the day.

Well I think that was successful. It didn't rain, there were no mechanicals, no crashes, no injuries and no broken bikes.

Still can't believe I'd never ridden the Stoodley sheep trail before, so thanks for showing me that.

Looking forward to the next one.

Perfect night for a bimble on a bike, cheers for sorting that out.

Not sure Clover will agree on the 'no crashing' front, glad you were OK Clover.

Aye, was a good ride out, thanks Daz - I hope we didn't slow you 3 up too much! Same time same place next week? I can put together a ride on the other side of the valley?

No you didn't slow us up. Waiting times were significantly less than on Monday nights 🙂

Can't do next Thursday, doing the MTB Madness race at Lee Quarry. Tuesday or Wednesday would work though as long as I can talk round Mrs Daz to let me out 3 nights in one week.

We'll be out on Tuesday from Foot if you fancy that. The pace will be a bit slower, and the piss taking a bit more intense

That wasn't a crash that was just "occasionally horizontal"

Had a fab time last night. I'll try to make Tues if I'm back from travels, but Thursday I'm in Buckinghamshire

Thursday might still be an option for me. Not sure I can be arsed with the race at Lee Quarry. If not though you guys go ahead without me. I'll fit in with whatever anyone else is doing.

We all still on for tonight again, 7.30 at old gate. I'll be bringing 4-5 of us down from Foot again, thinking of a ride over Midgley Moor sort of direction if it doesn't piss it down all day.
