I have a pipedream sirius s5 in blue on order and need to get some forks for it.
I’m torn between the pike ultimate and the sid ultimate.
The sirius is optimal with 120mm forks.
Pros for the pike.
The pike that I have on order is silver but 130mm. I can drop the fork or increase the travel if in the future if I swap frames. More adjustments with the damper.
Cons for the pike.
Weight compared to the sid.
Don’t know when it will arrive.

The sid is max 120mm so no way to go longer if I ever swap frames.
Blue wont go with the frame. black looks boring.
It's not a light frame is it?
Circa 200g / 1/2lbs weight saving from the sid over the pike but with one of these frames is weight saving the goal?
Pikes are available from r2 bike now.
If you were building up a superlight xc frame then a sid makes sense. For an xc orientated trail bike then a pike every time.
It's win win win though whichever way you choose.
