Need a new headset for my nukeproof the bearings are shot after a winter of use and non existent cleaning/maintenance schedule. Need a new headset and would like something that will last more than 5 months. The current one is a Nukeproof 44IETS. I know nothing about headsets so links or parts that i need will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Loads of options. Basically for durability, good sealed cartridge bearings with good seals in the headset.

You'll get loads that say Hope. They're okay in that like any Hope stuff they're very easy to maintain and replace the bearings, but nothing special.

Best ones I've had are FSA Orbit. Just seemed great at keeping the crud out and stayed smooth.

You'll need to know what type of headset you need, e.g. integrated, semi-integrated or standard

Can I be the first to mention that you need to ask someone if the new one comes with a crown race or not...

Trying to do all my own wrenching on this bike but might just give it to the lbs to sort out.
