Hi All

My 2007 Rebas have been fault free until now.
But fluid has started to come up through the compression dial where the pop-loc attaches and is running down onto the stanchion.
Is this a known issue.
Are they easy to service. (I've never had them serviced).

Thanks

Kev

Yes, its a known issue. You'll need a motion control seal kit if you want to do it yourself.

Cheers Scienceofficer

I have looked on TFTune and there are 2 kits, one for the motion control and another seal kit.
I figure I may as well replace all the seals whilst I've got the forks in bits. So do I need to buy the 2 kits.
But on CRC they have another seal kit which also contains the wipers, which doesn't seem to come in either of the kits from TFTune.

Can someone please tell me what I need to do the complete job myself.
I'm sort of thinking that I may as well spend the extra 40 quid and send them off to TFTune to be done.

Thanks

Kev

If you've had them from new (2007 I presume) then you ought to get them serviced completely. If you're not comfortable doing that yourself, then Mr Flooks is most definitely the man.

Depending on their use, I'd be surprised if there is any semi bath oil left, and its possible you may have wear on the stanchions from lack of lubrication over that period. Either way, they'll need to be dismantled to tell.
