My 17yr old son presently riding a 2016 Orange Crush, with hope everything and Rockshox 140mm revelations. All his friends are riding full suss bikes he feels he can't do as much which is a load of bollocks, the crush is more than capable of going beyond his skills. I have lost touch, I just ride gravel and road now. Ideally second hand that most of his parts can be put on inc forks. Tapered head tube, threaded bb 73cmm etc What should I be looking for, AM/enduro type frame that could take a bigger fork in time. Orange five? cheers
How tall is he? I've got Trek remedy 29 which I could do a rolling chassis on. Really nice riding bike.
He is 5ft7 and growning riding a size M, looking for 650b as he has very good hope hoops.
I think it’s easier to list bad frames. I’d just find something a couple of years old that is cheap, then look at reviews.
I got a previous years Nukeproof mega TR new for £500, and it is amazing.
Really had no idea what it would be like. It’s now three or four model years old now, but I have no desire to change it.
Do you have a price range and what size rear hub
Medium Canyon Strive AL frame of any interest? I’ve got one in the kit store I could move in for the right price!
Cube Stereos are cheap (sub £300) at bike-discount.de but you'd need to buy a shock and rear through axle. I had a Stereo 140 recently, it's the best FS I've tried and it'll take a 160mm fork for steamrollering stuff or use a shorter stroke shock and shorter forks to get a fun 140/125 trail bike like I did. PF BB but it didn't cause me any hassle.
Got a medium Radon Swoop 170 frame for £550 if you're around the Bucks area.
