Two lads in my Sixth Form have leg injuries which mean no contact sport for months. They were going to use swimming as their focus, but realise it's too hard. I'd like to help them use road cycling, but I'm not a PE teacher. Seems they need to film riders descending, climbing, sprinting etc and provide coaching tips.
Any PE teachers give me any pointers as to how it should be structured and anyone know of decent on-line technique/skills coaching.

Thanks

You need to get hold of a copy of their specification. It will be on the exam board website. Make sure it's the right one. It will contain specific guidance about what they will need to do for cycling.

I'm sure our PE students have to do invasion-type sports. Might be different for different specs/boards though. Worth double-checking before starting anything.

Is it fitness coaching or skills coaching? Worth getting in touch with local coaches/guides and linking with them? Where are you based?

Based in West Lakes. I've got the spec - AQA - cycling fine.
They need to film different skills and give coaching tips.
Looking for any known good coaching sites - I'm Googling, but thought someone here would know??
Thanks

You want to get in touch with a local British Cycling affiliated club with coaches who have at least a level 2 certificate in road and time trial or level 3. they will be able to give you all the coaching points you need

Why not choose Bikeability rather than road/mtbing?

Be a lot easier imo.
