Hi all,
I have an orange alpine 2011 need to change the pivot bearings. (this is the one without the pinch bolts around the bearing housing)
After searching the internet I have not found any step by step guide on how to do so.
Just wondering if anyone has changed them before and if they could shed some light on my situation!
Thanks
Take caps off, tap axle through with a drift (it's tight), knock bearings out of swingarm. I'd probably put the axle back in the frame first, then press the bearings on/in, rather than pushing the axle through them already fitted in the swingarm.
As coatesy says. Hadn't thought of putting the axle through the frame first, that's not a bad idea - the axle tends to be tight enough to knock the bearing back out again if you put it through once they're in.
Brilliant guys, thankyou very much for your time!
