Hi, just got a sh wiggins Chartres 26 for grandson, after a bit of cable lubing, gear and brake adjustment everything is working really well and ready to rock, but I can’t find out the brake model, (tried Clark’s website and google) it’s an early Clarks, mechanical disc with no bolt or pin to hold pads at top (they’re on a spring @nd seem to fit into the caliper a bit, the inner “piston” isn’t connected to cable but is adjusted by moving a “large pad sized round screw in/out pad pusher” by Allan key, this is then locked in place by a small grub screw.

It’s these

Just want to know as I’m assuming I can change the pads by compressing the spring and popping them out and what pads to get

Ta

If you give me half an hour I may have a brand new Shimano cable disc calliper tucked away that you can have for postage cost. I’ll summon some energy and go down to the workshop!

Cheers, the cmd name helped me find them, looked for pads for them, got the model now and searched for the brakes.

They’re cmd17, with slightly weird stepped pads, but easy to get, so all good, cheers and thank you for helping me.

Edit, flip, they might be cmd21 as well, ok it’s pads out and take it from there.but it seems to be 1 of 2 and the pads are very different

@towzer sorry, the brakes must have been in the last box that I took to the charity shop - they renovate old donated bikes.
