You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I've snapped a tooth off of my chainring and need to replace it and there don't seem to be a huge number of options of old 2x10 rings out there, also I'm not sure if I need to stick with Sram/Truvativ or if I can use any non NW 36t 104bcd ring.
But its 8-9 day dispatch, not idea.
Can anyone recommend a 2x10 ring that's in stock somewhere and won't break the bank?
Cheers!
Not sure about sram/truvativ but i know Shimano chain rings should be paired to the same codes e.g.. ae/ak/am etc for best shifting to match the shifting ramps on the chainrings. Other combinations do work but not a smoothly. Doesnt answer your question though.
Thought I’d give this a Sunday bump in case anyone else could help?
Would a 9speed work, I think the difference between 9 and 10 is mainly in the granny ring.
I have a steel shimano one hardly used, think it came off a deore crank.
The bigger rings can be expensive - you'll need to trawl ebay. I got a new, old stock, silver and black ring for £20, but they are usually closer to £50.
That one you linked is single front chain ring.
I just use steel Deore ones. Cheap and last for ages.

I have a nearly new SRAM 38T / 24T combo (10 speed, 104 BCD). I also have a somewhat worn no-name 36T / 22T combo (off a Specialized bike, also 10 speed, 104 BCD). I'll happily send you either / both if they would be any use?
I've just had the same hunt for a 2x10 36t 104bcd & found some sram ones with Mantel at about £38 including postage. Ordered Sunday & dispatched yesterday.
