Hello,

I had a crash 10 days ago, went flying, bike went in one direction and my knee the other.

There was no swelling and the knee seems stable but everynow and again when I twist quickly without consciously thinking about it, I get a sharp shooting pain up the inside of the knee. I have full movement but it hurts when I squat. The inside of the knee is sore and tender to touch. Also when I wake up in the morning the knee is stiff and aches a little. I'm seeing a specialist tomorrow but I thought I'd ask you lot as well.

Help appreciated.

Matt

My advice...don't squat or twist it suddenly! Inflamed ligaments... rest as much as you can and it will heal over the next couple of weeks. Too much action might see it heal badly, leaving you with lasting pain.

Ligament strain at a guess - but the specailist would be rather better able to tell

see the specialist 🙂

Sounds like your leg needs to be loped off

I'm no expert but I think you've hurt your knee.

Hello,

My names Matt Lewis. I don't know what happened there.

Perhaps the leg does need to go but hoping that's it more ligaments than amputation! I guess you don't need to squat or twist on a bike so should be ok to ride. Seeing the specialist tomorrow just have a problem with knees- my other one, the good one- has had 3 acl reconstructions and now I always think the worst when I knacker a knee. Thanks for your responses.

Matt Lewis
