Advice and opinions please....
Been a roadie for a few years but want to get back into Mountain biking.
Will just be mild single track and longer XC (fire roads and the like).
Got my eye on a 2013 Cannondale F29 Alloy 2. Down to £1099.
SLX and XT gears, Magura MT2 brakes and of course the 90mm PBR Lefty.
Seems like good kit for money, fork is supposed to be good and a light bike overall.
Finger hovering over mouse button.
Yes or No?

The magura brakes are likely to be a pain in the bum...
Subject to a recall. Check they're the new, improved ones.

I just got a cannondale trigger from pauls. Ace bike, lefty fantastic and it has mt2 magura brakes which are really very good stoppers.

Press it.

Wonderful bike. Maybe upgrade brakes one day as they are a little troublesome at times. I'd go for it for the money.
