You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
So I'm looking to consolidate my bikes and offload my 26" full susser and hardtail and replace with a 29er hardtail but I can't seem to find the right thing - although the new Chameleon looks like it might be close but a bit too spendy!
So after a 120mm hardtail 29er with room for a 2.6" tyre in the back, doesn't have to be super LLS as it will mostly be trail riding rather than hardcore stuff.
Ideally not heavy, so probably avoiding steel.
Budget - ideally around £1200 tops.
What's out there
I really like the look of these:

Sonder Signal Ti
Or
Bird ZERO 29.
Slightly more travel than you requested but have the requested tyre clearance. In this case I'm not speaking from personal experience, just what I'd look at first if that's what I was after.
Edit:
Just noticed the budget, so the sonder's out. The Bird's only just over though, so may be worth a look?
It was doing ever so well until I saw the dreaded Pressfit! - but a good start
Oooh the bird might do it - anyone out there got one?
Vitus sentier?
Can you get a 2.6 in the back of a Sentier?
Says upto 2.8 on chain reaction website.
OK on the list it goes, ta
