She's determined to get a bargain. 5'6" in height so about 14"-16", hardtail (up to about £800) or full suss (up to about £1200). Decent fork required (Recon Gold or better). 26" wheels ok. Standover height is important...
Anybody seen any decent clearance bikes to fit liliputian riders?
A 26" HT with a recon at £800 is a bargain??? I'm not being an arse, I just find that an odd thing to say.
Billy bargain-

and the colours are nice 😀
At 5'6" she can ride a men's bike if it has a fairly short tt. 14" frame will be too small, from my experience anyway.
Ditto Cinnamon Girl - I'm 5'6 and found a 14 frame waaaay too small. I ride a small Specialized Pitch and it's spot on. I found womens frames the wrong shape for me so all my bike are/have been blokes.
If she wants a full sus I'd suggest a Spesh Camber, I've seen a couple lately for about 800 quid which is a bargain for such a well spec'd bike.
I've found an XS BMC Fourstroke 29er. Any idea what kind of stand over it has got?
XS meaning extra small, that's probably suitable for someone of 5' shirley?
Seat tube is 40cms but top tube looks quite straight with no standover curve. BMC don't put full measurements on their spec sheet.
