Basically, have now bought my second road bike and signed up to a few long distance events this year, time on the mountain bike has been cut down massively in comparison and the new baby doesn't help. Can't see this changing until the summer months possibly. Looking to get an idea of whether it's worth offloading this bike which is getting very underused and then possibly get a 2016 bike later in the year.
If the images haven't uploaded please help me out. Bike is a non standard 2013 specialized stumpjumper evo expert. Only thing missing from pics is it has full shimano 1x11 with race face front ring done in October by LBS.
Thanks and any pointers appreciated, don't post much!

Why not just leave it in the garage for 6 months?
It'll cost you far more money to replace.

If you like the bike and you will still be cycling and still occasionally use it then keep it.
9.3 for artistic merit on the stealth ad.Nicely done.
Have been considering a hardtail for a few months or just a change completely and the longer it waits in the garage the less I'll get back from it. Gives me the chance to pay cash later down the line I suppose.
Haha no stealth ad from me I'll have to get up to date photos exhibiting my now muddy brown lawn and impeccable brick work.
As said above. Unless you dislike the bike or intend to give up for good then hold on to it. As always, particularly having recently spent a solid amount to go 1*11, you'll get far less for it than you thought you would and will have to spend more than expected to buy a replacement 2016 model when the weather finally turns nice.
I have an XC race bike in the garage, has been used once or twice in five years or so. It cost £3k and was very bling. I'd probably get £300 for it, so there's no point in selling it.
Not as if the bike will go off.
I took a year off a few years back because i didn't feel like it anymore.
Bikes were still there when i wanted to ride again
Duly noted, thanks for the replies, sold another stumpy last year and was having a ponder when tidying garage earlier.
