Can anyone help? I change the blade on my Marta levers last night and I thought it had all gone ok.
But now I can't bleed them. The oil will not go from the caliper to the lever reservoir. The oil will go through the caliper (I took the hose off and checked) but not up the hose to the reservoir.
The lever pushes oil forward into the tube, I can see it pulsing when the lever is pressed but it doesn't seem to take any oil from the reservoir.
It leads me to think I have done something to the lever master cylinder.
I put an allen key in place to lock the cylinder down when I did it so it shouldn't have come all the way out during the process. But either it did or some contamination has got in to the cylinder.
So do I bite the bullet and take the cylinder out (I know you shouldn't but I haven't got much to lose.) Is there anything else to try first? I will have a go with the lever adjuster screw right out but I can't see why this would change anything.
Not familiar with that particular brake, but it sounds like you've incorrectly located something and it's preventing the piston from fully returning to it's resting position and blocking the transfer port into the reservoir.
