Hi,
I serviced my 2018 Rev's and after a few rides the damper side bolt leaked oil badly. I'd fitted new crush washers and torqued the bolts correctly during the service.
I have now refilled the oil, cleaned the bolts fitted more new crush washers and retorqued the bolts, no leak on test ride, but after the 1st proper ride the leak has started again. I'd guess its lost most of the oil judging by the mess...

Any advice on how to stop this please??

I notice the crush washers seem to sit flush into the bolts so not much to crush...perhaps I should use 2 sets or wrap the bolts in ptfe tape?

It may be that the oil you put in the lower leg has got in the end of the damper shaft where the rebound adjuster fits and it has leaked through the bolt and rebound adjuster. If this is the case, when filling the damper side lower leg, make sure the end of the syringe hose is past the end of the damper shaft so that the oil goes into the leg and not the end of the damper shaft.

I have 2018 Revs and the crush washer on the damper leg bolt is stepped and wider than the one on the spring side, as the (silver) damper side bolt is wider than the black spring side bolt. You don't need to fit 2 crush washers.

Thanks, you could be right about the oil, I'll be careful next time. Re the washers, mine are the same on both sides and the ones I've fitted are the correct Rockshox part number for the serial number according to their www.
