I need help with finding some decent elbow and knee pads for my bike mad 5 year old. He starting to push quite hard on his bikes which means the consequences of his crashes are greater.

He does have some of the super cheap ones but he finds them uncomfortable.

Annoyingly I’d ordered youth 661 for Xmas in the hope they’d be small enough but they’re going to be huge. At least they’ll be there for him in 5 years time.

Does anyone have any links to good quality small pads that would fit a 5 year old?

I've seen a suggestion of using small elbow pads for kneepads.
Not sure what you use for elbow pads though...

I used some IXS hammer ones for the kids, son has outgrown his, had them for sale in the classifieds if you want.

We tried the youth Fox and IXS, some of them came up small on my 11 year son.

Have recently upgraded him to IXS cleaver's

My lad wore a set of cheap hardshell BMX pads. Elbow and knee set was about 15 euro and they've lasted OK

Hard to find anything better without spendign crazy money
