Hi
just going round tightening bolts as going away tomorrow for a few days riding in the lakes.
I have a rockshox revelation and went to tighten the nut on the bottom of the damper leg and the head snapped off.
the rest of it is still threaded in place.
Reckon I'm okay to ride?
I'm thinking I will be ok as I reckon it will be a pain of a dremmel drilling job to remove it.
If it does come loose I've been saved the job and at worst on the ride I will loose damping.
thoughts anyone?
The bolt that holds the shaft in place? The one that if you had a rebound adjustment that the adjuster would fit through?
If it really is that one, and I can't imagine how you can shear it, then no you shouldn't ride like that. The internal shaft is then only an interference fit to the leg without the bolt and could pull loose. Your forks won't fall to bits but if the shaft comes out it could mess up the internals on that side and your forks are toast
Why not put up a picture of where the bolt was that you broke?
Edit: Actually it is probably quite easy to shear that bolt, its only meant to be tightened to 7.3Nm which is only stem bolt sort of tight. Hope it wasn't that one 🙁
Is it possible you just knocked the rebound adjuster off? Photos are what is needed here
managed to unscrew it and use another one from my other bike.

Excellent. should have been easy to unscrew
Enjoy the lakes
