Hi

I've got my whippet built up as a single-speed at the moment and whilst all well and good, I'm going on a training camp in a couple of weeks and my new bike still isn't built. I need some gears as I'll be doing stuff both on and off road and riding with others (on geared bikes)

I'm planning on keeping this one for a while (I've said that before) so I'd like to put some decent kit on it, any suggestions? I'd like to keep the weight down and I'm planning on running 1x10 - not sure what chain retention method I can use on a whippet with its odd front mech?

On my Inbred I run a 1X9, with a XC chaindevice like this one, Linky Link fixed in by the BB - I've just left a spacer out on the DS

Sadly the Whippet has a press-fit BB so I can't run a bb mounted chain device, or a seat tube mounted one because of the diameter of the seat tube.
