You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Sent my rockshox revs 2010 team u turns away for a full service and took them out for a ride today and they now lose 30mm of travel within a few pumps of the forks.
This isn't suck from too much pressure in the negative chamber, the actual u turn knob unwinds as i go over bumps. Just messing around in my road for 30 seconds required 3 full turns of the dial to extend them back to 150mm.
Really annoyed to be honest as I don't expect a service to cause issues!
Any ideas what the fault could be and if it's something I could resolve without the costly courier charges sending them back again
Cheers,
Ryan
Dont mess about just ring them up and get them to arrange for them to be picked up and sorted them out at their cost. If you mess about with them you could have allsorts of problems getting it sorted
I've sent them an email so awaiting a response. Just wondered how serious it is or what might cause it? Looks like another 5-10 days without the bike 🙁
Well looks like the above link was the problem. Basically under the u turn knob there are 5 springs and 5 ball bearings. When i took it apart only 3 ball bearings were on the springs, the other 2 had fallen into other holes. This seems to have fixed the problem so for anyone who comes across this issue, check this out.
There is very little info out there.
I have to say I'm very disappointed with the people who serviced it, they have a great rep on here and it's unacceptable to send serviced forks back with faults. More of an issue is no replies to my emails, 1 reference this and 2 others about delivery questions which were also ignored.
Rant over, back to the trails
Good news that you seem to have sorted it. You imply that there are links in your posts. I do not see them just as a heads up.
Ah indeed... the link I was referring to http://forums.mtbr.com/shocks-suspension/revelation-air-u-turn-losing-travel-694568.html 😀
TFT ?
No not tft. I'm gonna give them a working day or 2 to respond and explain themselves before I mention names
