The ratchet ring has disintegrated on my SRAM Roam 40 wheels. No idea what caused this, the rear wheel locked up yesterday and when I removed the free hub the ratchet ring was in pieces ( broken at each tooth)

I've googled but can't find any mention of this part, it's not listed in SRAM's spares manaual. Does this normally mean the part is not available to buy on it's own and I've got to buy a new hub?
With out this my wheel is scrap 🙁
The ratchet ring will be bonded to the hub (if it's not an integral part) so I would be surprised if it was removable / replaceable.
How old are the wheels? Might be worth going down the warranty route?
I don't think you will be able to get that as a separate part.
Looks like it is secured with some kind of hidden circlip. Hubs like hope and stas have a screw in ratchet ring but I think with hope it's bonded and not coming out. I did notice next day tyres sell the tool to change the Stans one and spare rings.
I reckon andyl is correct, how else could you possibly change the bearings?
Windysurfer, did you manage to find the ratchet ring? Just had the same happen to mine last night..
So anyone else had / fixed this issue?
The ratchet ring seems so flimsy they must be failing all over??
A bit of digging suggests the Sram Roam hubs have DT Swiss internals.. any idea which DT Swiss hub has same 26 tooth 4 Pawl system?
