fourteen quid for a blanking plate? I'd just stick an ali/plastic bolt in.

But then you'd have an exposed direct mount AND a bolt on show.

ON a similar line, can I buy a direct mount that I can attach to my non-direct mount frame?

I have a lovely direct mount derailleur, but no direct mount on my frame.

Ta.

Thanks, that's sort of useful. I've seen problem solvers stuff on ebay before, so just checked. Yes they will sell me one. But it costs mroe han just buying the right mech. So 'll do that and keep the direct mount one in case so I can convert my SS to gears if I ever need a race bike.

Unused direct-mounts need covers? I just leave mine alone and get on with life.

I don't know how I live with myself.

I got Ubyk to chuck it in as part of the deal on my SB66c, as it was going XX1 from the start. 14 quid is crazy, but once its done you forget how much it costs and it just looks neat 8)
