Newish SLX 10-speed mech, new HG94 chain, and newish Deore 11-42 cassette on oldish On One Ringmaster single ring.

All sounded fine until I swapped the chain out like-for-like for a new one. Now it "graunches" when I'm putting some power in and sounds similar to worn bottom bracket bearings. I checked the Hope ceramic bearings and they are as good as new.

one of the parts is less newish than you might think. I'd start with the chainring.

Also check the routing of the chain through the rear mech

Same issue. Noise goes as chain beds in to the part worn sprox. Took 3 - 4 rides.
