No idea about any difference, I've the non-MIPS one and it's comfy.
A pal has the MIPS one and the lining came away from the Velcro, he said that it was a known problem and he's been told to send it back for replacement.

Well, they most likely use the same outer shell and the MIPS liner takes up some of the space inside.
I got the MIPS one, I find it super comfy. Can't compuare to a non-mips one as I haven't tried one, however itsmuch more comfy than my fox flux helmet.
No issues with lining coming away here.
