Off the back of the thread HEREÂ searching for a helmet for the large of noggin, I purchased a new Fox Flux in XL/XXL size.
It fits my head quite well in that the retention system has enough adjustment and grips my head well, doesn't fall off during the wobble test! The strap fits well, doesnt seem to rub anywhere or have any tight spots. Doesn't tip too far forward or back.
However, with it on it 'looks' like it is perched on top of my head, with a massive gap between the top of my ears and the helmet. This isn't the case, as my head goes all the way to the top (!) and I can't adjust it for height in that way.
The question is, does that matter? I'm used to looking like a bit of a mushroom head with a bike helmet on, over it now but just wondering if it matters from a safety point of veiw?
If it does, are there any recommendations of helmets that have good height adjustment?
Like I said on the previous thread, Giro are my go to helmet. They seem to have thought that a large circumference also means taller from ears to the top of your conehead.
