Second ride in a row I've had a dangerous pass. Reported the last one to the police, but they said they wouldn't do anything without independent evidence. So what cheap unobtrusive camera for obtaining evidence? Not interested in high quality for posting on youtube, and indeed I CBA even posting footage of most of the close passes I get - I'm also not interested in debate on people using cameras thanks!

gopro hero should do the trick - no bells and whistles and it's only £100.

How about one of those fly6 combined rear lights/camerS? Quite fancy one of them myself.

I think you guys may have a different concept of cheap to me - you can get an SJ4000 for £40 which does provide high quality footage, I was wondering about cheaper than that (and maybe smaller/easier to mount to a helmet and less obtrusive).

+1 SJ4000

There was a lengthy thread on this about 10 months ago. I bought mine back then and it's been brilliant.

How do you find the fly6 recording? Does it loop record?

People like you are the ones who give cyclists a bad name....out on the roads looking for trouble and conflict

You make me ashamed to have ridden a bike [ and with you ]

I have a chilli 120 hd camera - footage from it looks fine until I try to get a registration from it. Just not enough detail; maybe a different lens angle would sort it but as it stands, insuficient

I've been putting some thought into this recently as well. I was thinking about putting a mocked-up fake camera with high vis tape on it either on the back of my bike or on the helmet, in the hope that motorists would see it and not try to clip me quite so much as they drive past.

Recording loops so just charge it and forget about the camera side of things.

if camera is not in (or close) for the vertical position its beeps at you, records for the next hour and then stops. means if the worst happens and you endup dead in a ditch it'll keep the footage of the prick that hit you.

Mine was just over 80quid with wiggle platinum discount.
