Anyone got a gpx file of the route?
Couldn't go but heard it was good and tough. How was it and will it be running again next year (around same date)?
Thanks.
there's a copy here;

if it's not gpx then I'm sure a conversion is available.
Most of the short route here: http://goo.gl/maps/Tuw92 (My phone conked out before the final descent).
I really enjoyed it, but it was super-tough! Nouveau reckoned it was on a par with your Exmoor event. The atmosphere at the half-way feed station was slightly shell-shocked. Some amazing bits of trail, some truly hideous road climbs, and some rather unpleasant weather up on the tops. Shame it clashed with the 3 Peaks, I'd expect a date change for next year if they run it again.
sweet, thanks guys. I was in the (Dark) Peak doing another event that weekend - not the 3 Peaks though.
Dartmoor is great. I was down there earlier this year and so eager to get back down. Hopefully I'll be able to do it next year.
Did you CX or mtb it?
I CXed it, which took a bit of nursing down some of the rockier descents, but made up for it on the climbs. The first man home was riding an MTB but I saw lots of mountain bikers suffering like dogs on the 20% road climb out of Widecombe! Dare I say it, a triple would have been quite nice. Nouveau did the full route on his SS CX and was pretty much a husk of a man by the time he finished.
SS!! The dam fool.
3 Peaks sounded pretty.... epic
