So first roadie appearing in the next couple of weeks, normally I cover my mountain bike frames in copter tape. But have neither had a carbon or a road frame before.... do I need to? I imagine you don't get chain slap on a road bike?
I wish I had on my chain-stay, and if you don't have the rubber things on the cables by the head chuck some there, not seen much of a need anywhere else.
I'd put a little in the usual cable rub spots, but otherwise leave it.
Mines got quite a bit of chain slap from riding on rougher roads but it came with a chainstay protector of sorts (looks like skateboard grip tape).
Downtube, rear stays and rub points only on mine
Did the underside of the downtube, chainstays and the normal cable rub points on mine.Paragon tapes on ebay is good.
Thanks chaps, just ordered some from paragon...
